Problem
Caviar is traditionally positioned as a rare, ceremonial luxury, consumed occasionally and detached from everyday lifestyle patterns.
This perception limited both frequency of use and cultural relevance, particularly among a new generation of elite consumers in the Persian Gulf who increasingly associate luxury with wellness, performance, and identity.
At the same time, introducing a disruptive business model for such a heritage-driven product required cultural legitimacy.
Without a strong narrative framework, a subscription-based approach risked being perceived as artificial, forced, or incompatible with the codes of luxury.
Solution
Cluster designed a dual-layer solution that combined business model innovation with cultural narrative design.
At the structural level, caviar was reframed as a precision-based product, distributed through a subscription model that introduced regularity, dosage, and ritual. Caviar shifted from an occasional indulgence to a curated luxury regimen.
At the symbolic level, the model was amplified through the cultural mythology of Diego Maradona. Rather than functioning as an endorsement, Maradona acted as a cultural code, embodying paradox, intensity, and excess. This narrative parallel positioned caviar-as-dose as something rare, potent, and emotionally charged.
Together, these layers transformed disruption into desire and innovation into cultural relevance.
